SSPMA Scholarship Program
The SSPMA is proud to offer a 2024 scholarship program to give back and support the larger pump manufacturing and related business communities through enhanced education opportunities.

Applicants for a 2024 SSPMA scholarship must have submitted the application below by our deadline of June 1, 2024. The SSPMA Scholarship Committee will review applications and make recommendations for review by the SSPMA Board of Directors. Scholarship award recipients will be notified by July 1st. Awards should be sent by August 1st.
All scholarship awards will be sent directly to the recipient's educational institution of choice. If selected, applicants must provide information on where funds should be conveyed to be applied to their school enrollment accounts.
Eligibility & Terms:
- Anyone enrolled for Fall 2024 at an accredited program AND working toward an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s degree or appropriate certification/trade associated with wastewater management** Click here for additional clarification.**
- Two scholarships, up to $2,500 each, may be awarded
- Past recipients are not eligible for a second scholarship
- Applicants associated with Scholarship Committee reviewers are not eligible to apply to prevent any appearance of a conflict of interest
- Scholarship recipients will be notified via email by July 1st. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the educational institutions designated by August 1st.
Criteria:
- Academic achievement shown by grade point average/SAT or related test scores
- Documentation required: e.g. transcripts, score confirmations, etc.
- Community involvement
- Relevant Work history
- Related Achievements
- A brief essay not to exceed 500 words on the profession sought and how it could positively impact the pump manufacturing/wastewater industry.

2023 Scholarship Recipients
The SSPMA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Lauren Nickel and Caden Fickes have been selected as the recipients of the 2023 SSPMA Scholarship Program. Lauren and Caden, pictured left, each received a scholarship of $2500. Lauren will be attending Western Kentucky University in the fall where she is working toward a degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Scientific/Systemic Application. Caden will be attending Bowling Green State University where he is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. The 2024 scholarship application is below. |
